has appointed Gary DeMond to oversee business development initiatives. DeMond will be responsible for analyzing potential market opportunities and advancing the company’s Southwest Florida presence. He has a history of executive leadership and improving revenue generation within several Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, he founded a business development consulting firm with offices in the Midwest and Southeast, which orchestrated the start-up, growth and optimization of manufacturing and service-industry organizations. Thomas DiBernardo has been appointed vice president of commercial lending for Royal Palm Bank of Florida. DiBernardo joins the bank after serving as vice president of commercial lending with Community Bank of Naples since 2006. Prior to that, he has served in lending and business development roles with Wachovia Bank for 8 ½ years… She has been a mortgage loan originator with the bank for 12 years. Since 1998, she has been the No. 1 loan producer for the Florida affiliate and ranked in the top. 01 percent for Fifth Third Bancorp in dollar loan production. Stuart Kaye, president and CEO of Kaye Homes, a Naples-based homebuilder since 1985, has just received the 2008 Custom Home Pacesetter Award for excellence in the management category. The award is given annually to the custom homebuilder “who demonstrates a high level of achievement in one of seven critical areas of the business. ” Kaye received the award based on how he is positioning his company for growth in a changing market, revamping project management and cost accounting procedures, improving efficiency and boosting profits.

Sprout carries only 3 to 4 minutes of ads per hour?with messages aimed at the adult audience, not the children?and that makes it attractive to advertisers including Kimberly Clark, Geico, Sony Home Video and Honda. ?When the partnership was formed, there was a lot of discussion about creating an economically viable model,? said Sprout President and General Manager Sandy Wax, who oversees all strategy and operations for the Philadelphia-based network and has been on board since the beginning. ?The business requires affiliate and ad revenue, but they didn?t want to it to be from sugary cereal and candy. We wanted to be responsible to the audience and to convey that this is a safe and responsible place. From a parent perspective, knowing the ads are not kid-directed and that they are limited is a very positive thing. ?Advertisers?in categories including automotive, baby care, educational toys, family theatrical films, healthy food and beverages, home entertainment, household products, insurance, learning centers, music, retail and travel destinations?also have responded to the young network?s mission of fostering family togetherness. ?From the advertiser perspective, the benefit is low clutter,?
